REIKI SESSIONS · WINNIPEG
A little time where nothing is being asked of you.
Reiki sessions offer a place to step away from the constant doing, settle into stillness, and give yourself space to simply be.
Whether you’re completely new to Reiki, returning to something you already love, or simply curious about the experience, you’re welcome to come exactly as you are.
What is Reiki?
A gentle practice rooted in rest, presence, and connection.
Reiki is a Japanese energy healing practice that uses gentle, intentional touch or hands held just above the body to support relaxation and overall well-being.
During Reiki, there’s nothing you need to accomplish. You don’t need to meditate, clear your mind, or try to make something happen.
For me, Reiki is about creating enough stillness to turn your attention inward — to notice what’s there, reconnect with yourself, and give your body an opportunity to settle.
You don’t need to understand energy work or believe anything in particular to experience Reiki. Curiosity is enough.
What a session looks like
01. Connect
We’ll take a few minutes to talk about what brought you in and anything you’d like me to know before we begin.
02. Settle
You’ll stay fully clothed and settle onto the treatment table with a pillow and blankets so you can get comfortable.
I’ll move gently through a series of Reiki hand placements while you rest. You don’t need to meditate, focus, or do anything in particular.
03. Rest
04. Reflect
When the session is finished, we’ll take a little time to talk about your experience and anything you noticed.
No performing. No doing it “right.”
Just some time where nothing is being asked of you.
What Might I Experience?
Every Reiki session is a little different.
There isn’t one particular feeling or experience you’re supposed to have during Reiki.
You might notice:
warmth or coolness
gentle tingling
heaviness or lightness
a quieter mind
deep relaxation
emotions coming to the surface
a sense of feeling more grounded or present
subtle sensations that are difficult to put into words
You may experience several of these things, just one, or nothing particularly noticeable at all.
Sometimes you notice something during the session. Other times, it isn’t until afterward that you realize you feel a little more settled, rested, or connected to yourself.
There is no “right” way to experience Reiki.
Touch, Clothing & Comfort
Your comfort is always part of the session.
-
Yes. Reiki is always received fully clothed. Wear whatever helps you feel comfortable and able to relax.
-
Reiki can be offered through gentle, still hand placements or with my hands held just above your body. We’ll talk about your preferences before we begin, and hands-off Reiki is always an option.
-
No. We can adjust your position and use pillows or blankets to help you get comfortable. You don’t need to remain perfectly still, either. If something doesn’t feel comfortable, just let me know.
-
Then you get a really good nap. Falling asleep during Reiki is completely okay. You don't need to stay awake or consciously pay attention to the session.
-
Absolutely. Some people naturally become very quiet, while others find themselves wanting to talk. There’s no expectation either way.
Your session should feel like yours. You’re always welcome to ask for what you need.
45 vs. 60 Minutes
A little pause in your day.
A lovely option if you’re short on time, already familiar with Reiki, or simply want a shorter period to settle in and receive.
There’s still time to connect before we begin, enjoy your Reiki treatment, and gently transition back into your day.
45 min
A little more room to settle in.
The 60-minute session gives us more time together and allows for a longer, unhurried Reiki treatment.
If Reiki is new to you, or you know it takes you a little while to switch off from the outside world, you may appreciate having the extra time.
60 min
New to Reiki and not sure?
I generally recommend starting with 60 minutes if your schedule allows — simply because it gives you more time to settle into the experience.

Who Might Enjoy Reiki
You might find yourself drawn to Reiki if you’ve been:
giving a lot of yourself to other people
feeling like you’re constantly “on”
finding it difficult to slow down, even when you have the chance
carrying a lot mentally or emotionally
feeling disconnected from yourself
craving quiet or time without anyone needing anything from you
curious about energy work or your own intuition
wanting to make rest a more intentional part of your life
Or maybe nothing on that list quite fits.
Sometimes “I think I could use an hour to myself” is reason enough.
